What Is Yoga?

Yoga is a practice that combines physical postures, breathing, and relaxation techniques to bring harmony between the mind, body and spirit.
There are various styles – Hatha, Vinyasa, Iyengar, Yin and Ashtanga for example, and all are geared to promoting well-being, flexibility, strength, and stress relief.
It’s a complete myth that you have to be a calm person or really bendy to do Yoga – in fact that sense of peace and increase in mobility are things you may notice when you do it regularly.
Other benefits are: Less incidence of anxiety, and depression, as well as improvements with balance, circulation and posture.
The core components of a Yoga session are:
