Fitness Pilates

Fitness Pilates is a great workout that embraces the principles of pilates – control, breathing, flow, concentration, precision and centring – with the addition of equipment such as light handweights and resistance bands. This adds an additional scope to exercises, such as extra muscle toning and requires increased effort from the core muscles to support the arms, chest, shoulders, shoulder blades and back. The use of equipment is completely optional and all of the exercises can be done without it.

What do I need to bring with me?

A mat

A bottle of water

A pair of light hand weights (1-2.2 lbs or 0.5kg-2kg )

Warm, comfortable layers of clothing that are suitable for exercise

A towel (can provide support with knee, pelvis or neck issues)
